Arizona School Choice Fight Goes to U.S. Supreme Court

Institute for Justice:  “On November 3, 2010, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear the oral arguments in the case Garriot v. Winn. Arizona, like many states, offers tax credits to individuals and businesses for donations to fund scholarships for students to attend private schools. The goal of these programs is to give as many students as possible the resources they need to get a good education. The Dennard family has benefited from this program. Hear their story.”

‘One Nation’ … Under Socialism

Investors Business Daily on the recent “One Nation” rally in Washington, D.C.:  “Organizers included groups such as Code Pink, La Raza, the Communist Party USA, Democratic Socialists of America and the International Socialist Organization. . . . What do Trumka and the rally attendees offer but unbridled socialism of which ObamaCare and government takeovers of the auto and banking industries are but a first step?”

Red State:  “The Socialist moved from the halls of academia to the offices of ACORN to a pew in Chicago, and eventually all the way to the Oval Office, all the while spurred on by the heady early days of a culture-changing phenomenon in the making. In the midst of the chaos and mounting disasters, average American citizens began to object, eventually adding up to more than the sum of their parts in what has become a multi-front, 21st century clash of worldviews.”

This film has not yet been rated, but the story received a solid B+ from the White House. Catch the beginning of the end in theaters November 2010,
with the ultimate conclusion to be seen worldwide in November of 2012.

See Michelle Maklin’s story on this horrific vidoe called “The Green War on Children.”  Michelle starts with:

“Halloween isn’t for another three weeks, but environmental ghouls are on the haunt. A sadistic video released by global warming fear-mongerers reveals an inconvenient truth about eco-radicals: They despise the very children for whom they claim to be saving the planet.

In the opening scene of “No Pressure,” a four-minute short clip produced by carbon reduction activist group “10:10,” a teacher urges her elementary school charges to fight climate change by cutting their carbon emissions by 10 percent by October 10. When a few uncooperative students object, the teacher presses a red button at her desk – which immediately detonates the nay-saying children. Their heads explode in graphic, bloody detail. Skin and body parts splatter all over their horrified classmates.

Message received loud and clear: No dissent allowed, little rascals. Or else.”

Recent Law School Grad Who Can’t Find a Job Asks President Obama ‘Is the American Dream Dead for Me?’

At a town hall meeting held on September 20, 2010, a 30-year-old law school graduate told President Obama that he cannot find a job and is not able to pay the interest on his student loans so a mortgage and a family are not possible either.   The well-dressed young man said that he was inspired by Obama during his campaign for President.  He said:

“That inspiration is dying away. I really want to know is the American dream dead?”

It was an excellent question that deserved a serious answer, but alas, the President did what politicians do when asked a hard question – he punted.  Obama said:

““Absolutely not. … There is not a country in the world that would want to change places with us,  We are still the country that billions of people in the world look to and aspire to.”

Watch the video to hear what the aspiring lawyer thought about Obama’s answer.
