Maricopa County Worker Who Slept on Job Files Discrimination Claim
Arizona Republic: “A Maricopa County drinking-water inspector who admitted sleeping on the job and was suspended without pay alleges in a discrimination claim that White supervisors did the same thing and were not disciplined. Michael Mallette, who is Black, filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on March 29, after he received a one-day suspension from the county’s Environmental Services Department.”
