You can sleep better tonight knowing that the Toy Police, aka the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, is recalling children’s pendants because of too much lead content.
“The recalled children’s pendants contain high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects. Incidents/Injuries: None reported”
Please do not let your children eat metal pendants unless the pendant has been tested and found to have lead content below the U.S. Toy Police minimum allowable level.
P.S. Apparently the Toy Police don’t have a problem with the Nazi swastika.
Dangerous Pendant
Regarding the “Swastika,” the symbol as been around for thousands of years before it was misappropriated by the Nazis. In many cases, including this one, it is a completely benign symbol with nothing to do with Naziism. It’s worth noting that the Nazi version was oriented in the opposite direction of this one.
